Future Plans

1.

INFRASTRUCTURE

  • CACPE plans to conduct High Quality Scientific Research through a well developed Human Performance Laboratory.
  • CACPE plans to acquire requisite funding and state-of-the-art equipment for its Research Laboratory to facilitate activities like biomechanical analysis, simulation & modelling, basic dope testing procedures, developing a anti-doping guidance cell, physiological variable assessment, psychological assessment and nutritional status assessment.

2.

ADMINISTRATION

  • CACPE has plans to introduce Distance Learning, E-learning, Online Examinations and total computerisation of all its administrative functions and move towards a paperless office.
  • CACPE plans to attempt to acquire an ISO-9001 Certification and therefore get its functioning evaluated by an external professional agency.

3.

ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE

(A) Teaching - CACPE proposes to:

  • send staff members abroad for specialised training.
  • start online courses in sports sciences, sport nutrition, etc.
  • start Distance Learning
  • undertake E-teaching programmes and develop web-based lessons
  • collaborate with institutes like ACE, ISSA, IFA etc. to conduct courses for teachers and students.

(B) Research - CACPE proposes to:

  • set up a documentation center for validation and documentation
  • identify thrust areas for research at this center
  • publish research work through this center
  • provide seed money, technical advice and statistical analysis at this center

(C) Extension - CACPE proposes to extend its services to the society through:

  • developing Active Schools which would develop customised physical education programmes.
  • setting up Mobile Fitness Laboratory equipped with high-tech equipment.
  • setting up academics that will provide accredited coaching and training in sports.
  • setting up a Guidance and Counselling Center on various aspects of physical welfare.
  • preparing and implementing special fitness and welfare programmes for Senior Citizens.
  • adopting a village (Khanapur near Pune) to create fitness awareness.

4.

PROMOTION OF INDIAN HIGHER EDUCATION ABROAD

  • CACPE proposes to start comprehensive diploma, degree and post-graduate courses in Yoga.
  • CACPE proposes to promote Traditional Indian Games abroad through exchange programmes and faculty interchange.

5.

COMPUTER LITERACY

  • CACPE plans to achieve 100% computer literacy level among its staff by 2006.

6.

CACPE Plans to move towards becoming an 'AUTONOMOUS SPORTS UNIVERSITY' with the help of its well laid-out plans.
