Admissions
The admission policy is based on the standards prescribed by the statutory body, National Council of Teacher Education, University of Pune and the government.
The entrance test is developed by the college. The entrance test comprises fitness test (50 marks), written examination (40 marks) and interview (10 marks). Students with sports proficiency, national, state and district participation, NSNIS sports certification, Yoga certification, NCC and teaching experience/deputation are given preference.
Eligibility criteria of minimum graduation marks for graduation is minimum 45% (open) and 40% (reservation) and for post graduation, minimum 50%(open) and 45%(reservation), students appearing for final year are also considered eligible for admission. The merit list is prepared as per university guidelines.
The reservation policy regarding caste and gender is strictly adhered to. This caters to the various requirements of the college and makes the admission process very systematic and transparent. Norms for the proficiency in fitness are evolved by the college and are published in the prospectus. All the candidates undergo a thorough process of written test, physical fitness test and an interview.
The process is monitored by the management, government and university officials. A merit list is displayed and calls are given to first list candidates. In case of short responses to these calls, the applicants on the next list are given a call.
Fees
The fee structure for CACPE courses is well defined and fees are extremely reasonable and cover all the normal categories. The fee structure is governed by the Government of Maharashtra - Directorate of Sports & Youth Welfare.
Amount of fees for individual courses will be published in the prospectus each year. The broad heads which the fees will cover are:
- Entrance fee
- Tuition fee
- Computer fee
- General fee
- Camp fee
- Caution money
- Educational trips
- Student Aid fund
- Student Welfare fund
- Uniform & Sports kit
- Hostel fee (where applicable)
These fees are further applicable to various sub-heads. Examination fees, migration fees etc. will be separately collected from students as prescribed from time to time by the University of Pune.
Financial concessions to eligible students are applicable as follows:
- Government backward class scholarship and free studentship
- Government educational concessions to the children of freedom fighters, service personnel, primary teachers and secondary teachers
- Government concessions for economically backward classes. Candidates whose annual income for the previous year is less than Rs.15000/- can only avail of this concession.
